EAA AirVenture Oshkosh brings together more than 10,000 airplanes and total attendance of 600,000 for one week each year at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The complete spectrum of flight is on display, from vintage biplanes to modern military aircraft, as well as new flight technology.

OSHKOSH, Wis., June 1, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- For the 70th year, the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) fly-in convention will host pilots, plane enthusiasts, and aviation industry displays from around the globe in 2023. More than 10,000 aircraft and 600,000 people are expected to descend upon Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin from July 24-30, making it the world's busiest airport during that week.

As always, the "World's Greatest Aviation Celebration" will feature a dazzling array of air shows, historical re-enactments, and stunt flying demonstrations. It will also feature events commemorating "Vietnam Remembered – 50 Years Later," including a Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight and "Welcome Home" celebration for Vietnam veterans on July 28. Other highlights will include a display of NASA's Artemis lunar exploration program and NASA's unique "Super Guppy" rocket cargo carrier; the full spectrum of aircraft from the U.S. Air Force Training Command, various flying car prototypes and eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) craft; displays from virtually all major airlines and aircraft manufacturers; nightly activities at the EAA "Theater in the Woods"; and vintage aircraft dating back to the WWI and WWII eras.

Boeing will once again sponsor free admission for all patrons under 18 years of age. Children can learn how to operate radio-controlled airplanes, experience flight simulators, and take part in other hands-on activities at the popular KidVenture area at Pioneer Airport. In addition, EAA WomenVenture – featuring special presentations and seminars for female aviators and enthusiasts – will take place on Wednesday, July 26. The newly remodeled EAA Aviation Museum is open during the week of AirVenture, while flight experiences on a B-25, Ford Tri-Motor and Bell 47 Helicopter will be available on-site.

"The world of flight comes to Oshkosh for this weeklong celebration," said Dick Knapinski, EAA's director of communications. "Whether you're seeking innovation, history, family fun, or just the excitement of aerobatic flight, you'll find it gathered at Oshkosh unlike any other place on earth."
